Its Friday morning and we have been in Geneva since Wednesday afternoon - its been pretty much non-stop since we got here which is on the whole a good thing.... Geneva is a pretty cool, laid-back place - wandering in the evening one feels none of the sense of impending threat/peril that is a regular occurence when walking through Welling. Also I am yet to see a spotty 18 year old in a souped up Citroen Saxo with crappy LEDs embedded in the bonnet, generic 'crappy-house' blaring out, crusing up and down the main street in between last nights chip wrappers. Still, early days I guess.....
We were out for a few beers with the guys from Litasco last night - a very pleasant bunch and I was pleased to discover the newly installed head of operations is an ex-bp man like myself and a decent chap to boot. Tonight will probably be a few more light ales and hopefully a chance to relax.
The flat we are currently in is large but the bed is postage stamp sized and the Velux window has no blind or curtain so when the sun gets up - so do we! Ah well nothing like incentivising us to find a permanent home eh?
